Символізм компонента цвях у фразеологізмах українських говірок

Abstract

У статті досліджено семантичні особливості та просторове поширення фразеологізмів із компонентом цвях на основі наративів, словників, фольклорних та етнологічних праць. Визначено, що найчастіше цей компонент у складі фразеологічних одиниць виступає символом невідступної думки, що постає в пам’яті, свідомості, а також символом чогось побутового, буденного та звичного. Завдяки особливостям зовнішнього вигляду цвяха утворились метафоризовані мовні одиниці, що характеризують поведінку і вчинки людини, її зовнішність. In the article the semantic features and spatial spreading of phraseological units with the component of tsviakh (nail) on the basis of narratives, dictionaries, folklore and ethnological monuments are studied. It is found out that most often this component in the phraseological units acts as a symbol of importunate thought that appears in memory, consciousness, as well as a symbol of something domestic, everyday and ordinary. Due to the peculiarities of the nail’s form, the metaphorized linguistic units that characterize the person's behavior and actions and appearance, were formed. The ethno-cultural context of the phrase with the component of tsviakh (nail) increases due to the development of homonymy at the level of Ukrainian language’s dialects of the southwestern dialect. In phraseological units of the studied group of dialect language, forms of expressions and words-components that do not correspond to the common national norm due to dialectal phonetic, morphological differences occur, but this does not affect the traditional internal structure of such variants, and the meaning of phraseological units is understood, and the motivation is transparent. Materials of contemporary dictionaries and collections of texts confirm the territorial distribution of dialecticisms, recorded in the Atlas of Ukrainian language, but in phraseological units of separate dialects a wider range of variants of the component of tsviakh (nail) are revealed.
