Взаємозвʼязок стилів гумору студентів із особливостями їх поведінки у конфлікті

Abstract

У статті висвітлено результати емпіричного дослідження взаємозвʼязку стилів гумору студентів із особливостями їх поведінки у конфлікті. Представники типів конфліктної поведінки, що орієнтовані на інтеграцію і взаєморозуміння з опонентом (компроміс, співпраця), а також враховують інтереси суперника шляхом пристосування, частіше використовують позитивні стилі гумору (афіліативний стиль і гумор-самопідтримку). Студенти з типами поведінки боротьба, і уникнення частіше послуговуються негативним для взаємин агресивним гумором. Найбільш активне використання гумору відбувається під час стратегії втечі, слабке використання гумору виявлено стосовно стратегії боротьби. Діалогова стратегія конфліктної поведінки студентів не повʼязана з жодним зі стилів гумору. Дівчата частіше послуговуються агресивним гумором, а хлопці переважно використовують гумор як афіліацію, самопідтримку і самоприниження.

The article considers the results of an empirical study on the connection between students’ humor styles and the peculiarities of their conflict behavior. It is established that most students aged 21-23 use self-enhancing and affiliative humor, which influence interpersonal relations positively. The most common types of students’ conflict behavior are compromise and cooperation; about 25% of students choose avoiding behavior. It is revealed that each type of conflict behavior is associated with a certain humor styles combination, which is mostly applied. These combinations are following: cooperation, compromise, mixed types of conflict behavior associated with affiliative and self-enhancing humor; conflict behavior of accommodation - with self-enhancing and affiliative humor; conflict behavior of avoidance − with self-enhancing and aggressive humor; conflict behavior of competition − with aggressive and self-enhancing humor. Thereby students with conflict behavior types which are focused on integration and mutual understanding between the opponents (compromise, cooperation), and students with type of accommodation, which also makes possible taking into account the interests of the opponent, as a rule use positive humor styles (affiliative and selfenhancing humor). Meantime the students with behavioral types of competing and avoidance more often use aggressive humor with a negative effect for interpersonal relations. The most active use of humor occurs during the escape strategy, with which there are four significant correlations, the weak use of humor revealed in relation to the strategy of struggle (one significant correlation). Students practically do not use any of the humor styles regarding dialogue strategy of conflict behavior. It is shown the gender differences of connections between the students’ humor styles and peculiarities of their conflict behavior. Girls mainly use aggressive humor, younkers as a rule use affiliative, self-enhancing, self-defeating humor.
