Abstract:
In the research there are analyzed the diachronic and synchronic motives of arising and development of phrazeological expression “hraty vesill’a” (to perform a wedding), its semantic existence in ethnologic region of Podillya. Author also studies the folk games, which are important in preparatory moments and accompanying ones in traditional wedding ceremony. The attention is paid to important role of youth games of calendar cycle (spring, summer, autumn, winter), the functions of which are directed to forming of future family couples.
