dc.description.abstract | The creation of terms takes place upon the internal resources of the language from the terms that are established, or from the commonly used units of the literary language. In this case, the suffixes, which are the most convenient for constructing new terms, are usually borrowed from the general derivative fund. One of the requirements for the term (differential features) is nominative, that is, the ability to nominate scientific concepts that belong to different logical, as well as logical and grammatical categories. In choreographic terminology we distinguish terms-nouns, term-verbs, adjective terms, which can be both derivative and non-derivative formations. The suffixal way of word-formation (adding the suffix, suffixation) is one of the most productive in the creation of choreographic vocabulary. Suffixes, adding to different bases, form terms with new lexical meanings to denote certain concepts of objective reality. With suffixes, numerous words are formed – nouns, adjectives, verbs. The most productive suffixal method is in the creation of nouns that explain the largest number of noun suffixes in the Ukrainian language. Nouns with the meaning of a person, names of dance realities, abstract concepts are formed by the suffixal method. Choreographic vocabulary is highly specialized, that’s why there is a little number of nouns with a person’s value. A number of terms have been recorded in the Ukrainian language for designating a person who is related to dance (professional activity, hobbies, etc.). The name of the subject matter is usually called dance moves, which are often also formed by the suffixes from the verb base. Examples of terms allow us to state that the suffixal method of word formation is an active source of replenishment of the choreographic vocabulary. Suffixes as word-building parts of the word, joining mainly verb, as well as nouns, adjective bases, form new words to denote various choreographic concepts. The analysis of other morphological methods of word formation in the analyzed terminology system will be productive. | en |
