Abstract:
The article presents a fragment of a dictionary of phrasemes of Western Podillia dialects (examples A, B, C) which mark phenomena, characteristics and processes connected with a person’s life and activities. The main principles of compiling the dictionary are based on the experience of Ukrainian lexicographers. Phrasemes are presented in the phonetic transcription with all, phonetic, morphological and lexical variants, providing information with respect to their functional peculiarities and their areal distribution. In the future, this study will allow for further comparative and typological analyses.
