The specific features of phrazeological units functioning in coherent texts of modern dialectal language are described in the thesis. Materials from the south-western dialect show the activation of all potential possibilities of phrazeological unit, which prove its diversity and the also production of new semantic nuances and structural models under the influence of the context.
